Weather Channel Lake Forecasts for Lake Mead

For accurate lake conditions you can access a real time weather monitoring system by phone called Wind Talker.  It provides the only up to the minute weather conditions local to Lake Mead and Lake Mohave.  Calling the following numbers give you the current temperature, wind speed, and wind direction, along with the wind speed and direction for the previous 60 minutes.  You will notice the temperatures will vary greatly between Las Vegas and Callville Bay Marina.  You will sometimes notice up to 10 degree differences between Echo Bay or Temple Bar, and Hemenway Harbor  30+ miles  away.

Monitoring 162.55Mhz, or the standard marine radio weather channels can give you a general forecast for the Lake Mead area.  If you are near the Alan Bible visitor center, Temple Bar ranger station, or Katherine Landing on Lake Mohave you can tune into AM610 for weather information.
