Points
of Interest in Gregg Basin with GPS Locations
Gregg Basin is the most remote area of Lake Mead. It's
popular for those who have houseboats for extended stays, or those with fast cruisers on
the weekends. Sandy Point is a popular gathering spot due to it's nice sandy beaches
for camping. Good water skiing abounds on days with no wind, especially up
near Driftwood Island and Grand Wash when the water level is
up to 1150. The mouth of the Colorado river is about 15
miles from Sandy point by water.
